Scripture: James 1:2-3 – “Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of
many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance.”
It\u2019s not easy to find joy when life\u2019s storms hit, but James reminds us that trials refine our faith.
Troubles test our trust in God, pushing us beyond the limits of our own strength. Maintaining
faith during hardship requires a deep reliance on God\u2019s promises. We see this in the life of Job,
who in the midst of unbearable loss still declared, \u201cThough He slay me, yet will I trust Him\u201d (Job
13:15). Faith does not deny the pain of the present; it holds onto the assurance of God\u2019s
faithfulness. Troubles shape us to reflect Christ more deeply, growing our endurance.
